    Guides for this decision

    How to use this tool

Enter your current vehicle’s value, repair and running costs, and loan details. Add the replacement price and trade-in credit, review tax/title/registration, and choose a comparison period. Compare ownership costs alongside cash expenses and ending equity.

    Common questions

Does a lower monthly payment mean a cheaper car?

Not necessarily. Loan length, interest, running costs, and depreciation all affect the comparison. Review total ownership cost as well as cash expenses.

Are taxes, title, and registration estimated everywhere?

Automatic planning estimates are available only for supported scenarios and jurisdictions. Review Estimate details and use a quoted amount when an automatic estimate is unavailable. Actual charges can differ.

Does this compare selling without buying another car?

No. The replacement option assumes trading in for another vehicle. Repairs, future values, and running costs are estimates you supply, not guaranteed outcomes.
