Using MyAutoPlace

MyAutoPlace provides vehicle planning and quote-analysis tools: a keep/repair/replace calculator, Deal Checker, and VIN Decoder. Use the tools as information to help you understand options and prepare questions. These draft terms describe the intended use of the current site; they are not a statement that the site meets every legal requirement.

Planning estimates and your inputs

Calculations depend on the amounts you enter, the assumptions shown with results, and available third-party information. They are planning estimates, not guaranteed dealer, lender, insurer, or government quotes. Actual repair costs, vehicle values, running costs, taxes, title and registration charges, dealer fees, and financing costs may differ.

The keep/repair/replace calculator compares estimated ownership costs over your selected period. Any automatic tax, title, and registration estimate has a limited planning scenario and reviewed coverage window. These windows describe verification coverage, not statutory expiration dates. Unknown or unsupported charges may require manual entry.

Deal Checker

Deal Checker checks the arithmetic of an entered dealer quote and estimates financing under the displayed assumptions. It does not establish fair market value, score a deal, or guarantee that an offer is good. Matching totals do not establish a fair price; differences are questions to clarify, not proof of misconduct. APR-only estimates can differ from contractual loan-interest calculations.

VIN Decoder and third-party information

VIN Decoder uses NHTSA vPIC to show reported vehicle specifications. Decoding does not establish ownership, title status, accident or ownership history, vehicle condition, or market value. A decoded VIN is not proof that a seller owns a vehicle or that every specification is correct.

Third-party data may be incomplete, unavailable, or outdated. Missing information is not a finding that a feature does not exist. External websites and services have their own terms and policies, and their availability is outside MyAutoPlace’s control.

Verify before acting

Before buying, borrowing, insuring, registering, or repairing a vehicle, verify relevant amounts and specifications with the appropriate dealer, lender, insurer, government agency, or manufacturer. Read the actual quote and contract. The short estimates-only notices beside tool results remain part of the explanation and are not replaced by these terms.

Reasonable use

Do not use the site to submit spam or unlawful content, probe for unauthorized access, bypass security or request limits, or interfere with service for others. Avoid excessive automated requests, especially to VIN decoding and contact endpoints. Do not submit financial account numbers or other sensitive information in feedback. Access may be limited to prevent abuse or service disruption.

Availability and limitations

The site may change or become unavailable, and calculations or source data may contain errors. To the extent permitted by applicable law, MyAutoPlace provides the tools as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted service, complete information, or suitability for a particular transaction. These limitations do not remove rights or exclude responsibilities or liability that applicable law does not allow to be limited. They do not make an inaccurate result safe to rely on.
